So after wasting my time applying, showing up, and interviewing I wasn’t even interviewing for the position listed. This requirement wasn’t listed anywhere in the job listing or before the interview. It was extremely dishonest and unprofessional."

Management (Former Employee) says"Owners are not friendly. Very rude treat you like trash and that you owe them for hiring you. Son can do whatever he wants. The general manager is married to another manager and play favorites and leave work whenever they want to. If you have a family forget seeing them because they don't care about you or your family."

She then proceeded to kick me out of the store and told me to never step foot in the store again. I went after rush hour was over, I had someone to cover my position, and I had already waited to go to the bathroom for over 2 hours. The other managers also felt the need to belittle and bully me. Better go to work at in n out where the starting pay is $14.00 and high school graduates and you move up. What a college graduate will actually want to work here? HORRIBLE managers, horrible pay for the number of work that's expected of you. No raises in over 5 months of working there. Crew Team Member (Former Employee) says"They didn't offer any benefits or any hazard pay for the employees at my particular store. Customers were always harsh and management had favorites. You couldn't advance in the company unless you got in good with a manager, and they would often yell at you over the smallest stuff. Okay if you need a job but I wouldn't recommend in the long term. I feel way better now that I left."
Crew Member (Former Employee) says"When applying, the interview took exactly five minutes. Basically it was “I didn’t look at your application, just long enough to get your name. Your still a minor, right? Yes, ok. When can you start? Tomorrow? Here’s your uniform. I’ll put you one the schedule.” And then I came to work, explained my availability- which was violated multiple times and my schedule was changed in the middle of the week many time without them telling me. I would have extremely bad days whenever I went into work and I had no support while training. I would be told to go home early (when I had no transportation of my own) and couldn’t afford to leave. They treat the new people like nothing and make them perform all of the cleaning and fast tasks with a high expectation. Extremely disappointed in the job and quit after 6weeks."

Manager (Former Employee) says"I got lied to about how much I would be paid, benefits I would receive and when and where I would be trained. I don't believe the whole company is this way but the franchise I worked at was horrible and cheap. The owner would skimp on everything from brooms to pay checks and the prices were the highest in the state."
Team Member/Sales Associate (Former Employee) says"I loved working there at first. Don't get me wrong, the employees are great, but the management is lacking. I got hurt there so many times due to unsafe practices. I forgot my work shoes one day and instead of letting me go home to get them (a 5 min trip) they made me work with non slip resistant shoes for 8 hours. I slipped on the wet dish room floor and landed on my back hitting my head. No incident report was taken. I ended up with the flu and then pneumonia because they told me I had to deliver food to cars outside without a jacket because I did not have one yet. Then they fired me even with a doctor's excuse."

Adrian Sebborn says"Today was my first and lasst visit to a 5 guys in Pittsfield, MA. They make a big deal about cooking in peanut oil and that is what you get in avundance. The burger was dripping in oil and the bag was saturated in the stuff. Worse, I selected lemon soda from the Coke dispenser. It seems the lemon concentrate had run out so all I got was moldy soda water. I doubt the water lines had been cleaned since the dispenser was installed. Unlike all their competitors, they offer no in-store wifi. All in all, I'd say I was doing others a disservice not to warn them to avoid this place."
francesco says"I live close to the shop in Chiswick so for my first order at Five Guys I went for the click and collect option. Online they give you a message not to show up early. I turned up 2 minutes before my meal was due and they missed the deadline, I had to go and ask for it. Bought the large fries, they droppped them all at the bottom of the bag, no container at all. I got food in take away containers even in the poorest African places but not in Chiswick. I have the pictures of the paper bag which adsorbed the oil from the loose fries, happy to upload them if requested. The fries themselves where rather disappointing (not peeled) and they smelled like the oil has not been replaced for very long time. The cheese burger was quite nice but then again for 9 quid I rather had 3 Big Macs. Mr Ronald MacDonald can rest easy if this is the best competitor."
